I am quite happy to wear that cloak of invisibility! I much prefer being chatted up as a potential 'mother' than a potential 'lover'. Yes, complicated it is!

Like the guy in Australia in the bottle shop when I asked for a couple bottle of red and a couple of white and he asked me for ID.
In my fifties it just made my day.

It's true, some guys can say something and a woman instinctively knows it's not meant in "the wrong" way, and others can raise one's creep-alert meter instantly. Good post; good points made.

I am a man..and I write..I guess things. I appreciate the female form, very much. I am 59 and aging ungracefully, kicking and fighting every step of the way..lol! It's all good though. What you say is true but women don't generally lose their looks so much that men do not see the beauty in them, no matter the age. I know women in their 60's and later whom I would not trade for a 20 yr old. Helen Mirrien, Christine Baranski, not to mention the unkowns I have run across that just totally devastate me! Just so beautiful with the grays and colors and their acceptance of themselves. Confidence is such a turn on! But we are talking about respecting women as well, I think. Thing is, even if a woman ages, if a guy is a pig, he just becomes an older pig. Age will not stop him but hopefully he was raised well enough to where catcalls and wishful thinking is all he does, unlike some very at the top of the totem pole pos or hollywood moguls that have used their position to subjugate women. All that said, read my latest post, possibly you may like it..or maybe, it's just another version of what you are blogging about. Peace
