Lack of caring & competence can happen in all industries. I think some of it's due to those who don't work well with the public. If it's an option, you may want them to send you an email or text alert. I've had notifications a few days in advance. Which is understandable, if, the person forgot & needs to cancel. As, at least here, they expect 48 hours warning. Unless you had an emergency or something.

The trouble is I think folk do not empathize. The job is boring and no one likes to take responsibility. We have to wait a month to see ones own doctor and ten minutes is not long to receive good advice.

I agree. They should give you the reminder the day before. It works out well. That is helped me make many an appointment on the correct day.

sigh....it seems everywhere what ever you are trying to get done has become more difficult and more expensive and just plain don't work most of the time.
