I do hope that it was comforting. Little things like a friendly conversation are a balm to those who listen to silence. Of course folk become worried and then think of threats that probably will never happen, all one can do is try to allay their fears.

Like you, I am very concerned about world events and the effects on our allies. Hopefully, reason can win out.

Odd that in this day and age the whole world is on edge because of one man. History tapping us on the shoulder and saying 'Remember this?'? Maybe we haven't come such a long way after all.

Why are they worried?  Because he's unstable and may start a world war and Australia is in range of North Korea?  No biggie.

Please let your family and friends know that we all don't like him either.  Send help.  lol

Kabu

Nice to have a chat with family, dear. And we here in the US also wish for Australia not to become vulnerable. As for the rest, we all watch with you. Hope the wine was pleasant...

I am sorry you - and Australians - are worried about our President

and the potential for negative change that seems to be afoot. You are in good company as way too many Americans are also holding their breath waiting for the other shoe to drop. As far as I'm concerned, Australia, Canada and the USA are siblings, and we may have little family issues, but anyone who picks on one is asking for a sound thrashing from the other two...
