That is a whole lot of cooking that you used to do on Saturdays. I feel like doing a cooking for myself is a lot.

Wonderful memories.  I am thankful that all of my major cooking experiences are just that--memories.  Making myself a sandwich wears me out now.

That sounds like my place most Sundays...or Saturdays...or sometimes Thursdays.Most fun is that the girls do the dishes before they leave, and even the Rugrats do their share during the week, so Mémère is smiling!

These days if it weren't for the Crockpot and soup, I'd be

out of luck for real food.  Nice to have a little help these days. :)

I know the feeling not that I would ever have been inclined to cook for such a crowd.

One has such bountless energy when young and I do think the pills we have to take make one feel tired at times. Of course once one was getting old at 50, so we cannot really grumble if we feel it is all worth carrying on. Perhaps you could just cook for about a dozen these days.
