It does seem that everywhere problems arise. At least for one brief moment in time peace surrounded you and everything was normal. Well I don't know about the tummy ache.

I can't bear to think of all the fire suffering and deaths in California so I love dreaming about your cobbler--the looks of it, the smell of it, ice cream on it melting...a work of art with love. When I was a nurse I had burn patients a couple of times in the hospital. I can't think of them without crying. Prayer is all I can do.

Sounds like a wonderful gathering, something to be thankful for

Yum! Wished I had dinner there! Looks and sounds so good. I'm glad your Thanksgiving dinner was a success, and wonderful. The fires are awful. One of my frienda has a friend in Northern CA who just lost everything. Here, last night the smoke was visible, miles away. The scent is in the air.
