RP, the crucial difference is the fact that these Muslim immigrants' faith prohibits them from integrating with 'infidels' whom they rehard as inferior, and demand their God-given rigth to supremacy...They want an Islamic peace...

While reading your post I was reminded of my immigrant ancestors, and how eager they were (well, most of them-LOL) to become 'Mericans," to learn the language, to adopt Anglo-sounding given names, apply for citizenship while stating they were not anarchists, and most importantly, to adapt to the ways of this country as best they could; assimilate. When this fails to occur, even at a secular level, there is rift that widens, and in time it would appear to have a weakening effect on the host country. Now, add in religious differences... Enlightening post, very much so.

i don't think it works well In Australia like someone was jailed a couple of weeks ago for marrying a little girl.under islamic law. And a few years ago there ws a Mufti who was radicalizing youngsters and the Muslims threw him out.
Of course Australia has problems I am not saying they don't big problems, just praying that the peaceful Muslim community remains strong.
