As evil as these times are,  there are always more good people than bad people.  More good people need to step up to the plate,  to oppose the evil people.  There are most definitely "sides" to all issues,  and they are becoming more polarized into extreme evil and extreme good.  Ill-meaning people can easily hide their motives,  to fool us into thinking that they are really "good" and "loving" and "concerned",  while they manipulate us all the more.  I think you, Blackcat, may be vulnerable to this.

As for gun control,  I think the 'bump stock' device that Paddock used should be banned.  Other than that,  I think he was the smartest and most cautious mass shooter we have ever had,  and I don't think any gun laws would have stopped him.

You have already read my post over in Armed Citizen,  but I have added much material to that post,  since you read it.  I tend to do that,  in the first few days of a new post.  And a week later,  they still have not found a 'motive' for Paddock's attack.

So many questions, so few answers... I don't know how to fix all the broken people. I just feel sad that it is so.

I am so sorry to see the USA tearing itself apart yet again. Yes I was a young woman during the civil rights marches the horror of Vietnam and the time when generation opposed generation and always the racist card. Other countries have their ugly side as well, including the two countries that I call home both Australia and Canada. We just have smaller parts to play in World events thus can often fly under the radar and reports are not so public. There is evil, all everywhere.

America is being torn apart at the seams as we speak. Things are just so polarized. We are at a point where people are trying to get their political agenda over every time something happens. Things are in a mess in this country.
