Re: Aba Brother

Oh, I'm humbled beyond words. It's been sitting around, in one form or another, and I decided to finish it and post it. Again, just from my heart. Thanks, more than I can say. I do also appreciate the depth of your reading, Aba, l'il bro.

Re: C_C_T

I'm pleased that you took the time to read and comment. And please, don't feel that way about me explaining; you aren't alone...

Excellent!

It is very imaginatively done ... the word painting, the imagery, the contrasts, the idea and the mood of the thought opening layers of the past. I'm in love with such poetry which you have done so tastefully and with the feelings of your heart. Kudos, sis

Re: Chuck E Ibrahim

Gosh, Chuck, I'm overwhelmed! So often I come close to stopping, as I did years ago. Thank you for the encouragement.

Re:Nautikos

Wow! That blows me away because that is exactly what I saw as I wrote this, back in 19th century London a few months ago. Well, not you, of course, but an image like that which you describe. I attributed it to the cover of a book of mine, Shadow of the Wind, by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, which I enjoyed.

Re:BC-A

Indeed, that says a lot.

RP

Very powerful imagery! For some reason it conjured up a foggy night when I walked the streets of 19th century London, and saw a dark figure in cloak and hat waiting in the shadows...

Re: C_C_T

It's only a poem. In the silence of the night we sometimes think of things other than those that come during the light of day. No, it's ain't an autobiography, but so many people are suffering now, and who will help them; who will take care of them?  I do feel - for them all.

Re: Kabu

Thanks, dear sweet lady. I am thrilled for you that your poems are returning. Mine are going away soon, I fear. You cried! Yes, that is a healthy breakthough for you, giving yourself permission to experience that emotion, dear, and yes, I do more than understand. You have much on your plate right now. I would say, nearly the entire cafeteria...

. The poem is fine but the meaning is rather depressing. It's your ball game though, I hope it is not how you feel. Sorry.

another gem. I am just starting to feel the germ of a poem growing within me again. I would love for it to push through into daylight but some things cannot be rushed. A few days ago I cried. The first time in something like almost 10 years. Great heaving sobs that went on and on and I did not try to stop them. I needed a release. I know that you will understand.

I like the question to ponder at the end.
