Re: Re: Re: Re: C_C_T

I wondered if it was because there is a man in the moon.

Well I don't know, probably because you reminded me of a lady who revealed a lot of her life and then blew me away when I asked her a medical question. Perhaps I am to old for your blog, I should have let Chumpet read you.

By the time you tell them you're sick, you're well love.

Wow... hahaha... a pain to read me?   Just this week?   I feel like I hardly wrote anything... tell me what made you uneasy?

Those old programs we carry with us from childhood can be used in either a negative way or a positive way. You chose the latter, from the way your nieces greet you. That's a good thing.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: shellyb

the two go hand in hand... LOL  if you are okay with showing big emotions (which you are), then you are also okay with the attention that comes with it!  If it made you uncomfortable, then you'd hold it back.  You see?  lol

I learned to recede within myself through a bad marriage but that isn't all of it. Like you I have always been an extrovert for short bursts and then very happy to withdraw within myself.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: shellyb

the being shy part was explaining that I don't like attention.   had nothing to do with emotion.  so there.    lol

Re: C_C_T

Can you sense it through blogit?   I am feeling better and my mind is clearer.  It's interesting to me if you are able to notice?

Re: mneme

Hi there.  Nice to see you!   Yes, I have been much of the same... responsible dutiful and always okay.

As for being back to my old self... I actually don't know what that is anymore?  Do you mean all fun and games?  :)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: shellyb

being shy differs from showing emotion.  You just wrote a post the other day saying that you can't hold back overwhelming tears of joy.  that's emotion.  :)

Well they like you ,sadly childhood treatment can make life difficult as we all know.

It is nice you are feeling better, one can sense it through blogit.

Hello blackcat... I can relate to this. For me it's always being the dutiful daughter, the eldest, the responsible one ...works ok to a point (smile). What doesn't work for me is people trying to be 'helpful' and telling me how stressed I am, as if they know me better than I know myself. I hope you will be back to your old self soon.

I find that we learn many things in our lives from others. It is interesting how our interactions with people do shape ourselves.

Re: Re: Re: Re: shellyb

Blackcat, in reality I am very shy!  I don't go looking for attention!   The attention comes to me.  Especiallly when I'm drunk...like last night.

BUT, that's another story.  lol

Re: Re: Re: shellyb

No you didn't offend.  I was making a point.  It's a difficult thing to explain.

Btw I think you wear your emotions very loudly.  At least you've talked about doing so.  I'm not sure I see you being able to hide your emotions or not wanting attention.   I see you as the opposite of me. Not a bad thing. Just different.

Re: Re: shellyb

gotcha.  I know.  You have said that before.  I always pictured that.  Hope I didn't offend?

Re: shellyb

that's because I had a great family and a perfect childhood.

Wow...this blog surprises me.  The part about your mom, that is.   Back in the day, you weren't too open about your family.  Now it seems like you have opened up about them more?

My grandmother always baked cookies.  She always thought that would cheer me up. It did, sometimes.  lol

I hide my emotions, as well.  I'm getting better showing them, but I'd rather hide than confront them with anyone.
