I don't know about the veracity of all the powers, but I'll take your word for it.  Right before the progress that caused the "bang" must have been the period of "time" when the earth was "without form, and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep.  And God said, let there be light, and there was light..."  Genesis 1:1-2

Re: Re: Nautikos

Thank you, Naut! I just saw something on the Science Channel about what they think happened immediately after the BB. No, no evidence of contraction. It is all delightfully mind-bending, and I won't even question how that energy became energy, and so powerful it evolved into what we have now in space... lol

Well now we know thanks Naut enjoy your brief freedom.

It is incredible just how much the universe has grown during these 13.8 billion years or so. And it is getting larger by the second!

Re: Nautikos

The 'contents', RP, is best understood as 'energy', and it probably came from 'nowhere'. And no physicist that I know of believes in 'contraction', especially since the accelerating expansion that began about 5 billion years ago has pretty well been confirmed...

Thanks Sir Nautikos.

So are you saying that we can't jump into a worm hole and be transported to the past or future?   Darn it.

It's amazing, and awe-inspiring, and perhaps its okay not to

know, to just look on in wonder as the whole shebang just is.

Nautikos

But from where did the contents of the grapefruit or soccer ball come? I've wondered if the theory of expansion and contraction is true? Enjoy tomorrow, hopefully.
