In Maryland, the pools close right after Labor Day, too. Even though we can get some summery weather throughout the rest of September, I guess it is not cost effective to keep them open with the kids in school.
That is great that the creativity is bursting at the seams.

I never heard before about not wearing white after a certain date. We just didn't have any Summer this year.

Here, we tend to wear white and do all the same things after Labor Day until we can't do them anymore. Which, this year, never seemed to happen anyway. I hope you get hours, and then rest up also. You'll be better able to decide what to tackle next, rested.
