The aspect of being older does not bother me. There is a lot of life to enjoy between then and now.
What really got me when I was younger was when Hale-Bopp came in 1997. It's a comet that only comes around 2,500 years or so. It did bother me that I would never see it again nor would many subsequent generations after mine.
