What a great comment... and thing for you to notice.  I used to wear a watch every day, and when I would forget, I'd feel almost naked without it.  I can understand your connection to it.  Thank you for sharing!

You have me thinking about what my safety barometer. For me, that is wearing a watch on me. When I was younger, I used to cry when I went to school -most of us have been there). My mother had me wear a watch so that I could see that the day would end soon. Now I wear one and do feel comfortable because of that.

Re: shellyb

Cats can usually tell if you don't like or trust them... and they won't like you.  I have to say it's your fault.  LOL   I think if you adopted a cat, you'd be very surprised how loyal it would be... and I know how you like loyalty.   Cats love their owners.  Dogs kinda love everyone.  Plus, you don't have to walk them in the rain.

Re: Naut

My cat is a lover, not a fighter.... but he warns me of danger by the way he bolts across the room... I always know something is coming.  LOL

Re: RPresta

He is a great cat... he might be part dog... or it may be how I trained him (always having dogs)... lol

awww...sounds like the perfect match!   You were both lucky to find each other.

Cats don't like me.  I'm not sure why?

I would love to have a dog some day.

That's a nice safety barometer. I too have one - his name is Ben, his bed is next to mine, and he'd take the leg off anyone who managed to break in at night - no easy task either, LOL. And that's before I'd shoot him...
