Showerheads don't take long to change. It's like a lightbulb, screw one off, screw one on (with some tape for leaks). I'd keep an old one so that I could just swap it back. How will they know? lol

Re: FSI
You are right. The notice said Monday the 7th to Friday the 11th, not seven days but only five. Wow that's even worse. So far I haven't seen any sign of workmen or toilets and half the day is gone.

I do not see them completing that in a five day work week as well. They would have to like lightning to do that.

The whole thing sounds poorly thought out, and the time projected for it is ludicrous. Installing shower heads may be done fairly quickly, but toilets are a different issue. I had a new one installed in my basement, and the whole operation took the better part of a morning, including a coffee break of course, LOL...And there's always a mess that needs cleaning up. And as the others have already pointed out - they probably won't save much water, if any...

Perhaps they will issue chamber pots if behind schedule.
Some one appears to have not taken into consideration the
usage time .

Re: TAPS
Well, I shall leave a full plastic water pitcher sitting in the tub, and one beside the toilet. If you pour the whole thing all at once when you flush it will take anything down. And the one in the tub will be poured on my head if need be.

That has been the case here for years. And PD is soo right. One must stand under the shower forever to get the shampoo out of ones hair with no water pressure. One ends up using 3 times the amount of water, having to flush repeatedly. The entire concept is not well-thought. And two minutes per install? I love your math. I would have liked to seen the numbers on the extra water usage required from the water-saving devices.

I imagine some people will be looking online, or heading for the
nearest Home Depot to get the info on how to cheat the shower head's water flow. Or maybe it won't be so different that it bugs people. As long as they're changing the toilets, it would be good if they installed the "handicapped" ones, the seat's a couple inches higher than the regular, & easier to get up from.
