I never had a daughter, but I know sons and how quickly they think they are old enough to know what they want, and are determined to do it.  A parent can accept their decisions or ultimately lose them.

It's not easy to accept. Maybe it is a form of rebellion.....Maybe she will change her mind. But when you think of the extreme of what she is doing...It's much better this than drugs, alcohol, skipping school etc

Kids have a mind of their own these days. Nothing we can do to change them. All what we can do is try. Have a wonderful weekend

perhaps purely because she is a girl she will completely turn around and come home to you. Some of this may be games because her parents separated. Most people suffer not just from their divorce but the innocents, their children hurt real hard when they get back for you hurting them....voice of experience here.

I am sorry for you with a situation like that. It's a bit unusual and I hope that you and she will be able to re-connect very soon.

Sadly children are really given too much freedom. I am sure my parents would not have let make a decisive decision at that age. I think you will have to grin and bear it if you don't want to lose the last emotional touch. Hopefully one day she may decide to do other things. Just my opinion .
