In this neck of the woods they say they're from the IRS and demand
you send a moneygram to avoid being hauled into court and having your home confistcated. Or they're demaning you pay a bond because you didn't show up for jury duty. And they're still using the grandma dodge, where they say a kid has gotten into an accident or legal scrape and you need to send a thousand... I hate those cons.
