My Dad was a meat cutter.....he spent his days working in a freezer, therefore when he was home, even in the Winter, he was hot.  He and Mom used to "fight" over that thermostat all the time.

I'll take the heat. Rarely do I use the A/C. My one daughter is the same way. The other likes it cooler. I remember being at work and it seemed so many of the men, and an occasional lady, loved the A/C on full blast; low 60s was great temp for them. It was a nightmare for me.

Wiley and I have reached a difference of heat and cold and comfort. My heat tolerance dropped during menapause and has remained with me. Suddenly and I expect thinned blood has something to do with this, has left Wiley feeling cold most of the time. At night his side of the bed is piled high with covers and a cat while my side has a sheet covering to my waist. We do use the overhead fan summer and winter for it helps Wiley to get enough air.

I'm one of those thin-skinned old women who's body thermometers does not work right any longer.  It seems to bother mostly at night.  When I go to bed I'm very comfortable but after an hour or so I'm freezing cold.  So I get up shivvering and start adding covers.  When I finally get warm enough I fall back to sleep and about an hour later I wake up way too hot and sweaty so I remove covers and soon get cold again.

Pat

I'm one of those guys who loves sweltering heat! When I'm driving on a hot day, I just leave all the windows open and enjoy the breeze - to hell with the AC. (I might turn it on if I'm crawling along in downtown traffic.) And I do love iced coffee...
