How gross to hock an oyster in a public place. It's right up there with blowing the nose between the fingers.

Eeuu is right! It is a notch higher, possibly two, than leaving garbage. I've seen men do that in public and it grosses me out! Just the thought is disgusting.

Nearly as bad as letting a dog foul the roadside. Although most carry dog bags,well if it is light. I just remember seeing a spittoon in an old fashioned pub, I did not fancy a pint.
