Just to set the record straight... I learned recently (at a funeral) that there never was any crow meat in the pie. Well that's a relief - and I really should know not to be so gullible !!

Crow pie? That's terrible! Shooting those marvelous birds is just barbaric!

I graduated in 2004 from high school. We had a reunion in 2014, but I did not go. Maybe I will go when the next one occurs in 2019.

Well M. I don't know if it is still practiced ,but if you remember the elm trees. The crows or rooks always built in those trees as they were the tallest. I always thought it was horrible. Certain  sporty types would shoot with twelve bore shotguns and blow the nests out it had to be when the young birds were plump and filled the nests. Crow or rook pie was quite well known as a kind of weird delicacy. Ever tried Grey squirrel?.
