I will include your grandson Michael, a fellow warrior, in my prayers.  I am sure that prayers helped protect me when I was in the Army.

Goodness Taps you have to go through all this again. Luckily when young the guys do not share such fear. I does seem never ending though.

Michael will be added to my prayers too, TAPS, just as Peter was during his time there. So sorry this is happening again.

I wish for a safe return for all of our troops, including your grandson. Prayers for them all. I have a close relative who spent 10 years going to those most dangerous places, and each day we all held our breath! Hope your weather clears soon!

I have two grandsons enlisted right now. One just got back from

Kuwait or one of those sandpit locations, and another has served in Afghanistan. I'm sending a grandmother hug to you, praying for your Michael's quick and safe return, and hoping the powers that be will find a way to stop making wars that never end.

Re: Naut

I'm afraid that I already know those things, but I will read your post.

I am really sad and gathering myself to pray just as had and as long as I need to for this Grandson as I did for Peter.

Why don't we all just get out of that foul place? No one has ever beaten them. They disappear into the Boral mountains and Parkistan and come back when the invaders are gone.

You know that I wish your grandson and all the others who will be deployed in Afghanistan the very best! Having said that, the war in that country will not be won by sending an additional 4000 American troops, or ten times that number!

That country is just one of the fronts in a far wider war which cannot be won with bullets or even MOABs...

First we have deal with the home front! Take a look at my post in View...
