Facebook is like anything else - you take what you want from it and leave the rest. Mr. Zuckerburg is suffering from billionaire 'twitness' it seems.

Facebook?.....

I have another name for it.....  Fakebook.  A friend of mine uses a cruder F word than 'fake' for it.....

I don't know about FB cause I'm not on it. I wonder about Mr. Z's church." Might be  good for some.

I don't get any of that on my site...I would block it. One can always block sites and advertising and certain people. I like FB to keep up with Australia.

I read recently talking of tech gurus that Steve Jobs was so sad at his end because he had made all this money and that was really all he had done. Make money and enemies.

The thing I do not like about FaceBook is that a very large amount of the people are there to complain about something, and many of them do it in such an ugly way.  So, here I am complaining.  LOL

That is very egotistical of Zuckerberg. Interestingly enough, Facebook has prevented debates about Islam at times.

It's not surprising that he thinks his financial enterprise is the "new

church" - if I'd become a billionnaire world figure the way he did, I might begin to develop a god complex, too. But like formal religions I've got personal experience with, I have serious issues about the organization's practice and policies. The sell, sell, sell thing is quite a turnoff to me as well as their ability to gather my info and market me to advertisers. Thanks for this post.

I have never liked FB... I quit it back in 2008 and only returned last year.  I thought it would be a good way to reconnect with old friends, and in some ways it is.  But mostly I feel it's a place for lurkers and stalkers and show offs... mostly makes people feel badly about themselves... and is both toxic and phony beyond belief.  A church?  No way.  Not like any that I'd want to belong to.
