Taps
I totally understand. It is as if you are writing this for me. I am getting better by the doctor's tests, I am loosing weight but I am not moving any faster, longer distances, nor achieving my goals. But I am here, I watch interessting stuff on TV, I read and I putter a bit. Love you lady.

you are wonderful, I have made a list for the Summer to go outside every day and do something. it is so easy. take today, it rained all day so I just brought into the mud room a pot of plants that had soaked up enough water. i need not feel guilty. I went out and did something in the garden

Re: CCT
No matter what time I retire, I dont seem to be able to sleep longer than four hours and then I wake up ready to do something. Then I have to work in a couple of short naps. during the day.

Re:
I love pajamas. With pretty pajamas I actually feel well dressed until I'm expecting someone.

Re: Naut
LOL. I'm glad Ribcage wears pj's because he comes out of his quarters early to make coffee. I wouldn't dare going over to P.D.'s house before 0800 because both he and Phil sleep in, and run around in the buff when they first get up.

Re: The joy of all this doing nothing much is that there's nobody
Yes, I did do that didn't I and I remember how I enjoyed doing it. It is hard to give up things you loved doing.

Re:
You have the right spirit. That is why I keep trying, doing and going. I am just much more selective than I used to be, as I get tired faster at 80 than I did at your age, whatever it is. You sound pretty young to me.

Re: Lanetay
My stuff wasn't that far gone. They just needed to be made into appetising salads and cassaroles, which is what I spent the day doing. The best things I made was a cauliflower & swiss cheese cassarole and a fruit and jello salad for Grandson Phil. He just loves the ones I bring to him.

I think we all have days like that! One little difference - in summer I don't wear PJs, so I've gotta get dressed...

Time can slip away very quickly. I cannot believe that it is past noon EDT right now...When I am home, I am most always in my pajamas.

I know we are very different ages, but I relate because I don't know when I got so "old" either... it's all relative isn't it? I try to remind myself that today is the youngest I'll ever be, so to remember that and enjoy it. And in the spirit of backing out on life... I think I must choose one of the two options given for me tonight instead of doing nothing... so thanks for the inspiration!

The joy of all this doing nothing much is that there's nobody
expecting you to take care of them, no obligatory chores for others that could mess up their day if you forgot to do them. You've earned these days and banked them in the years and years when you worked yourself into exhaustion getting the impossible done.

I think it's great you are so organized that you plan as you do. My sister is exactly like that. Me, somewhat, but much less so. If you feel like sorting out the fridge, by all means, do so and enjoy! And let the other things go until another time. You've earned it!
