Wow, kasper! Anytime something I write inspires a person, that is an honor and it's wonderful! Thank you.

Well, it's not Saint V's day, but...

it was absolutely beautiful. And suddenly I got it by this strange feeling that usually makes me write some more poetry. Thanks a lot, dear RPresta...

Re: Aba brother

Thank you, and no, not too long at all. Quite enlightening and I enjoyed it. I even Wiki'd Devaloka. :) Learning for the pleasure of learning, is something I enjoy.

Good poem sis Presta, and a reminder that the sol,  sun has completed its northernmost point of its celestial journey, to begin its sourpthern journey signalling the onset of autumn and winter. You have the longest daylight in the northern hemisphere, and being farthest from the southern H, it is the shortest daylight there. In the lands of Devaloka, it is night for the gods, when they prepare to go to sleep for six months, equaling our 12 hour night. Oh, am I making it too long, but  just couldn't help

Re:Nautikos

Thanks, Naut! Yes, I have thought that myself, but for today, one should keep the focus on the celebratory nature of this day! Tomorrow is time enough for melancholy! When it is the Autumnal Equinox, then I really feel a sense of melancholy; the promise of Winter...

RP

Beautiful. But with the celebration there also is a sense of melancholy about the Solstice - the promise of spring is behind us, and with summer the days, ever shorter, are inevitably sliding into autumn and winter...

Well good for you RP, feeling called towards the Summer Solice. You are a brave little warrior. An inspiring poem.
