Re: Re: Re: Nautikos

Gotcha!  But God is doing something.  He is responding to man's rebellion (sin) and unbelief.  He will not do what the "natural man" wants when humans choose to go their own way.  As you know he created humans with a God-given choice and he will not go against that.  We (humans) are our own worst enemy.

Re: Re: Nautikos

What I am referring to is what I have been talking about for a long time now, and the incapacity/lack of will/ ignorance/timidity/fear/ futile hope that God will somehow do something/ etc.etc! What others too are writing about, for example Alexander Maistrovoy , when he writes: A specter is haunting Europe: the specter of the Caliphate...
The West presents a gloomy picture of impending darkness and tyranny, the likes of haven’t been known to the civilized world for centuries. This is the world in which an aggressive, patriarchal and primitive religion has taken root in the very heart of the continent; in which bearers of dark prejudices, intolerance and barbarism...And

...we notice a striking phenomenon: masses of people doomed to inevitable suffering keep silent or, at best, passively and anonymously express their disagreement during elections – although they have almost no chance to win, since the whole state system is aimed at brainwashing, and the people of Western Europe and Canada are deprived of individualism and self-reliance, like the people of America.

That's what I'm referring to, and have for years now...

As someone said to me I hate humans, but I quite like animals. I wondered why she did not have a pet.

Re: Nautikos

I'm not sure exactly to what you are referring but one must remember that the Bible is given to the reader of the Word as a measure for his personal worship and how to get along with others--both believers and non-believers.  When it is commanded that one "hate all appearances of evil", it is not talking about hating people or what other people do or say.  It is talking about temptations of evil in the life of the person who is reading the Word.  So, there is no conflict of interest to hate evil and to love your neighbor as yourself.  We shouldn't even be judging the actions of other people.  We are to be busy about judging ourselves "lest we be judged by God."  God himself "hates sin" but "loves the sinner".  I don't know if I made sense here, but one can't "preach" in one paragraph what is contained in The Book of Books written over hundreds of years.

Well put! But how do we deal with the divinely ordained hatred we don't even dare acknowledge? Merely praying is just as ineffectual as merely using arms against it...

For people saturated in hate, for them the layers of hate is a parfait for their own stupid gait. Well said, TAPS.

i gave up on the negative thinking years ago, the only one who gets hurt really is yourself. I am a long way from a saint...that look just wouldn't suit. LOl...but I don;t hate I find some actions deplorable but hate, no that is way too strong. Nothing matters that much anymore.

I am glad my heart is clean and don't hate anyone. I will continue to follow this route for the rest of my life

You are correct, hatred is lethal, and so tragic...

I'm seriously trying to stay away from social media today.  I so want to say things that I might regret, or lose friends.  UGH!

Well said, Taps.

Guess it's not really true - that old thing about sticks & stones can break my bones "but words can never hurt me."

I have never in my 81 years seen so much political hatred as there is now. All the gangs out ripping through the streets is the act of Godless feelings. I am so sorry this is happening.
