You're very sharp to catch the possible, underlying thought of suicide. The story and character are based on my own life. There was a time in my past where I was in such a place. Those days are long gone. I wrote it after taking a walk with my dog, Chase on an actual abandoned horse farm. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
