I love the quote....had never heard it. But it really spoke to me. Your father surely must have known you loved (love) him. All of this close to my heart, as I just lost my father this past May 21st.

We're often tongue-tied when we shouldn't be, and adnohr makes an important point! And I too love words words, although, being Canadian, I prefer the Oxford to Webster's, LOL...

I'm not so sure people were as open about their feelings once upon a time. Today, after the 'Love and Peace' generation we are more inclined to speak up. I know my foster grandmother never told us she loved us, but she showed it in so many ways, and we knew.
