I'm not a fan of it either. Thankfully that instructor reassured you.

Re: WileyJohn
I have to tell you that I am not an RN. That is why I only say "nurse". I'm am an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse). Your Darling Kabu has a lot more book learning than I. But, I could do almost anything that she did. I was just not paid as well.

You have a lot of intestinal fortitude to have been a RN, Kabu too I admire you both love.

It takes a certain kind of person (usually a narcissist) to not mind scrutiny ... or what I would call judgment...

I cannot imagine living with the scrutiny that celebrities and politicians have to live with. It would drive me nuts.

I bet neither the Doctor or the instructor would have wanted to do that task. Dopey Doctor walking away from it like that, he should have had his bum kicked.

I have always thought nurses were amazing, and you have done
nothing but reinforce that belief. Front line when it comes to comfort and stress relief. I know it was hard, and thank you for being there. And you can write! This post is awesome!
You said something I think about writing your story. I'll bet you could pull your Blogit posts and assemble them into a pretty darn good memoir...

Wow! Bursting into tears only AFTER the job was completed was in itself a huge achievement! I tend to agree with the instructor, and her telling you her thoughts demonstrate why she was an insructor.

Re: TAPS
Not meaning that you would remove your glasses first; you needed to see! :)

Wow! You were asked to do the impossible! You did well. Better than well. You must have been an excellent nurse. I know what you mean about the glasses. I used to wear them at times (like when I wanted to see anything) before contacts. During weather 100+ degrees, with no A/C, when my girls were little, changing a really dirty diaper while Daughter squirmed caused me to have those same sweaty glasses falling off my nose, fogged so I couldn't see, my forhead wet and needing wiped, and no free hands to fix anything! One learns to remove glasses first if one has the time. Well told, Nurse TAPS!

A surgical scar unzipping - what a scene! And so well described, you almost had me sweating! Good thing I am wearing neither glasses nor a surgical mask...
