Well, I first thought the wipe out was yourself taking a tumble, and then

decided it was a lost bit of blogging - which can be painful in another way. As for old Peter, the story poem was so true to life... I'd been working with a couple words in my mind from waking time this morning, the main one being "reluctant." But now that I think of your bull story, I could not resist the temptation to suggest an epitaph: Here lies Peter Bull, once redundant, now recumbant.

Yes we are as tough as old boots out here RP. Farmers could not afford to be sentimental. Not many Bulls around now. Be lucky.

Hope you are feeling better? One must be careful with falls. I found your poem very interesting. It would have been nice for the old bull to live his days out somewhere but perhaps that's they way things were done back in the day.
