It is not the courtship one has to worry about Pat. The apricots we get are pretty bland I think they must be picked unripe.

Re: RPresta

Surprisingly some women cannot get up themselves, unfortunately at a  rather tender age. Well I have seen one, and her friend asked me to lift her up. Not enough exercise I expect.

I myself have never had two pints of beer. Drinking never really appealed to me...I often see on the Trail people talking about their pets, seemingly leading to something.

Mmm... I love apricots. And a darling poem. I feel sorry for her if she can't get up! :)

Yum! Apricots are delicious. My little Miko girl loves them too. Your poem was another happy one - smile was bigger this time.

I love apricots, esp. in jam. Don't care for the fuzzy exterior though.

Ciel's poem is fun.  I liked the poem about courtship for those who are 80 plus... ;)

Re: Ciel

Quite informative You should pick them at night. I suppose most things grow wild but it is a job to find where. I like the poem.

I had the best extra-soft dried apricots that they carry at Booth's when I was over there... Brought some home, but they are long gone now.

I once wrote about wild apricots...

APRICOTS GROWING WILD

Sweet, sweet, wild fruit
in the first heat of the day
in the desert...

Cool and sweet,
unlooked-for treat
in the desert morning,
an oasis...

Nectar, glowing,
sweet as light, and chill,
still, from the night...

Cool and sweet delight
heralded by wasps drunk
with pleasure...

They do not sting,
I do not kill...
Sweet truce
in the first heat of the day
in the desert.
