Never did I think the Ringling Brothers would come to an end.

Very sad

I am quite upset with the demise of the circus.  I took my family to that circus every year.  It was a highlight of the year.  There may have been a few abused animals,  once or twice,  but most of them were well cared for and lucky to be in the circus.

If they were in the wild,  they would have to find their own food and water  (not easy),  be subject to droughts and famines,  avoid being attacked and eaten,  contract deadly diseases,  and they would have no health care at all.  The animal rights PETA fanatics went too far with their extremist attacks on the circus.  I hope they all get bit by a rabid skunk!!.....  because that is kind of what they were to the circus.

When I was a preschool teacher, the school where I taught was a "Circus House" back in the 1800's.  It was a Victorian Mansion.  Rumors were that they kept the circus animals in the carriage house.  It was pretty cool place.

At least the elephants will have a better place to live, hopefully.
