I remember hearing about Anzac day from my Aunt Goldie, who

was an Australian girl who married my mom's brother George and came back with him after WWII.  It seems our wish to honor heroes is shared...

Well it is nice that the fallen are remembered. I should not think that the widows or mothers received many thanks at the time.

I imagine that yacht win was incredibly exciting...I guess what I can compare it to would be when the United States beating the Soviet Union in the 1980 Olympics.

To have a memoir for the young dead of the Nation who laid down their lives for us to live is a great honour. Kudos, for all Aussies.

Yes, Happy Anzac Day to all Aussies! I didn't know about that. Thank you, dear Kabu.

Congrats to the Aussies, of course. I hope they're aware of and do something about this: "Muslim Imam Shaikh Mohammad Tawhidi said radicals are looking to create an independent state within Australia". (Moran Riley, MailOnline, Feb 25, 2017)...

Good grief!  Where have I been.  I not only didn't know what a cenotaph was, I don't think I have ever heard it used, or read it anywhere.   But, now I know.  Thanks.
