Nice entry
I never had a printer like that, but I do know them.
I do have a typewriter (unplugged) even though I have a computer, but sometimes I work best if my "first draft" is written on the typewriter. 😃

My first computer looked similar to that one! But I didn't have to do much typing - I had others do it for me, LOL...I did have an IBM Selectric at home though, for the odd time I did want to type something. It's still sitting somewhere in my basement, I think...

Re: Re: BC-A
This is what Sis wrote back: "There was a simple little on/off switch in the back (left side as I recall). Should be easy to see and recognize."

Hang onto that computer; it may be worth something. I remember my dad having one like that. It was a nightmare for him to use, as well as a nightmare for me watching him trying to use it!

Although I cannot remember using it my parents had a crystal set, one had to fiddle around with a wire to connect to a wireless station.

Re: Pat_B
My hubby used to bring piles of those home from work for the sons to play with.

I had something like that.
All it would say, in barely readable green matrix dot letters on a big black and white TV looking screen was "c://bad command or file name."
Good times...

I remember when punched cards were "in" and data entry using the
number pad was how we did inventory, etc. Also the cards were great for crafting after the data was computed and the cards were slated for the landfill - or recycling bin. We used to make wreaths out of them.

Re: BC-A
I'm afraid I can't remember. I'll ask my Sis. She had one too.

I have one now. I don't know how to turn on it. No power button. Might not have the original keyboard.
