Re: Re: Re: Aba

Ok then, I'll do one on Shelley's ode - To a skylark.

Re: Re: Aba

You are welcome. I like Shelley and Keats also. Yes, pure class.

Re: Aba

You have caught the essence in your fine way of understanding. And that makes my writes meaningful. Keats and Shelley are my faves; they have that class in them that is a narrative in my ne sense and also superb poetry at once. Once again, that's a ton, Presta.

Re: FSI

These Greek myths have a great magnetism about their stories. They can lift you to the highest of the high, and take you through the lowest of low. Thanks a lot, FSI

Re: Anib

One only gets what one deserves, and you got a fine lady. 33 years is proof enough that your relationship is going to be long-lasting. All the luck and sunshine all through.

Aba

I like how you say Psyche had an immense appeal on Keats' psyche. :) Good one! Perhaps Keats' idea of a temple to Psyche illustrates his thoughts and attitude toward women in general, and specifically to one woman in particular. To drink from the fountain of beauty is not necessarily a bad thing; for all see beauty in a different way. Great write, Aba! thank you. I must read more Keats.

The plot sounds very interesting and covers the time period very well.

Yes,  physical beauty is a strong magnet for most of us,  of both genders,  but it brings problems of lust and pride and jealousy.  I married a beautiful woman, and we have made it work for 33 years,  but it has been problematic.  Perhaps better to marry someone of plain countenance,  but pure spirit,  and with humility.....
