awww... poor little guy is getting separated from his family. The raccoons used to get into my garbage (what a mess!) until I bought a bin. Once they couldn't get in anymore, they left all on their own.

It has been a while since I have seen a racccoon. I know they are around my neighborhood, but they keep themselves very well hidden at night.

The critter seems to have a tear in one eye... No doubt so sorry
not for stealing his supper, but sorry he got caught... At least your neighbor was doing a catch-release thing, and not taking fatal action against the masked marauder.

About your comments about losing your parents, dear S. Sister, I'm sorry for your loss and pain. My mom died 25 years ago and I still miss her, and my dad has been gone 17 years, and I miss him terribly, so I know what you are saying. The empty space a parent leaves is never filled. But we go on, if only as a final tribute to them, I think.

Someone must have relocated the raccoons that used to hang around here at night because I haven't seen them for a long, long time. At least I hope that's what happened to them.

I was surprised to hear of turkeys out in the snow, but I imagine they need to eat, as all the other wildlife. Don't know what I thought they'd be doing in the cold weather. I wonder where they nest? Is that the right word, nest? Thank you for telling me.

Oh, how darling, S. Sister! What a delight to see! And the turkey, did you say Wild Turkey? Never had that, either version... I know one day soon the snow will melt. Great picture, and what a fun place to live with all the wildlife.

Well I am glad it is not being nobbled although I fancy myself in raccoon headgear. Imitation of course. Good photo, he will be back. We have tall bins only the giraffes can open them.

I love raccoons, or Ratcoons as my grandperson called them
or Ratcoons as my grandperson called them a while back.
The Great White North really was, as I flew over yesterday!
