I agree with a few comments here.  Keep it short and positive... and definitely end it with something like... you can find her other works, (insert book names here), on amazon.  good luck!

Re:

I dropped that class and took it with another professor...what a change! And then my feminist poetry professor fell in love with A Modern Day Cinderella and I once again started writing a lot! If these professors only knew how influential they are.

I feel for you with such an insensitive professor. It's traumatizing. My English 1A professor was tough, harsh and unreasonable, but I got an A. Did I mention boring? What a shock I had in later English classes with positive feedback!

It's all good. And congratulations! For me, I would maybe consider changing the last sentence. Perhaps leave out the second "of." "She has edited books by Amy Leigh McCorkle and one of Rebekah McAuliffe of which three have won awards."

After I said that I thought perhaps you should list the titles of the works on Amazon! It wouldn't hurt to give them a plug as well!

it is pretty good and does tell one about the person who wrote the book. keep it short. no one will read more than a few lines.

Give the Professor the boot, he was just using a standard quote to impress you. Otherwise sounds OK by me keep it short nobody reads it much.

A very good job. I can definitley see that on the back flap of a book. You have captured the tone and essence of those brief author bios...I am curious about this college professor who discouraged your writing. Perhaps an entry or two on that here on Blogit?

It's always difficult to write about oneself.  I thought it was engaging and thorough.
