Hmmm - with 3 doggies you can imagine what I'll be doing with the shovel when the snow melts! Like the info about the tulips, I didn't know that. Fairy like poem, nice!

Re: I think I prefer gardening when the soil is moist but not soggy,

Well it is a poem of sorts Pat, can't keep posting dismal blogs. I try not to be cheeky also or I might try to put an arm around your waist.

Re: C_C_T

Cheers RP. Yes I agree , I really do the gardening because I like growing things and I think it does keep one in a reasonable condition. Archie and his wife have a stall they raise money for a Charity that deals with folk with terminal illness. They pay me a percentage for the flowers as you can guess it takes quite a sum to buy composts and bulbs etc. In two years we have raised 2 thousand pounds. One day I will show the stall of course they are not really allowed to have it, but it would look very mean if the council pulled the plug .

Re:

Don't forget birds will eat the seeds so don't be too early. Ideally it needs a bit of wire netting until the grass is established.

Re:

Wow three tulips They look like mine in the garden at present A. short in the stalk. Did you no that a tulips stalk will keep growing after it has been cut, so for cut flowers they do not need to be too long or they droop.

Re: Ciel

Well i am glad she did it Archie keeps grumbling all the time saying it is untidy. He will do it though. He likes to think he is in charge.

It sounds like you are getting April showers a month early...Money can and often does dictate a lot.

Being part of the springing season...  You and Archie and the garden and mud all together in one spot! Will Mrs. Archie let you back into the clean kitchen?

Sometimes one does the gardening just because one is in the mood. Or not. LOL! I really enjoyed your poem. It was written in a way that had a ring of truth to it. All the rules. Money isn't all that is attractive; in fact, in and of itself, is not attractive, at least to some. The has to be more depth.

I think I prefer gardening when the soil is moist but not soggy,

and I can return the earthworms to their domain if I should happen to turn them over. As for your ethereal lady of the cloud - no harm in enjoying the speculation, is there?
