I don't know where I picked it up, but I've always put a pinch of salt in the coffee when brewing in a pot. Not so much now with the Keurig machine doing the brewing. I have tried the chocholate but not for me. Boy, oh boy would I love to participate in a Sleep Day!! DId you enjoy it?

He was rather handsome! I don't see the name Emmett very often although it is a mainstay in my family! When my nephew's son is born in July he will be the 7th generation to carry the name Emmett! sam

World Sleep Day is a wonderful day of dedication if I may say so myself.

I think I worked for that CEO's offspring... I've had a few tyrants in my day that left people in tears.  Heart attacks isn't a far stretch.

Salt in your coffee?   As if the coffee wasn't already bad for you?  Tsk Tsk.  haha   I'm finding there is alot more chocolate with sea salt on the shelves.  The salty sweet thing seemed like a new trend...but like most things, it must just be renewed!

Re: Ciel

Your daughter's oatmilk is very much like the Mexican avena.  Except in place of chai they use vanilla and nutmeg.  It is very good.

I will try that salt and chocolate coffee thing when I get home!  Here, my daughter heats oat milk, then sinks a teabag of chai in it and heats it some more, then squeezes chai tastiness out of the bag into the hot milk, and enjoys that once or twice a day. It's probably very healthy.

We have 2 parades for St Paddy's Day. One is in what we refer to as Dogtown...why it has that name I am not sure...but it is where many of the Irish who first came here lived. They always have their parade on St Patrick's Day. The other parade is always on a Saturday...either right before or right after if the 17th doesn't fall on a Saturday.

Today was Dogtown's parade but I didn't go. I was watching Elijah and he is just too hyper to take to the parade and expect him to sit still. I don't believe I will be going to the one tomorrow either. I am not sure what my son has going on tomorrow but I think I would like to go...let's see how the weather is in the morning.

I remember hearing of Van Heflen. The coffee sounds good. I have been putting cocoa powder and a some drops of vanilla in mine (before it brews) for years; now I'll try the salt pinch. Thank you.  National Sleep Day, a good one. Narcolepsy comes to mind... Your parade sounds so great! Enjoy your day.

I always liked Van Heflin - he usually played an "everyman:"

good guy. If I remember correctly, he could dance, too... I like a few drops of vanilla in my coffee - it mellows without adding sugar, but cocoa powder is a wonderful touch. Articles in AARP and the Nutrition Action magazine say a cup or two of coffee, and a square of very dark chocolate is good for the heart and all... So enjoy!
