I do hope they find someone to continue if their move happens.

Re: CCT,

When I was a kiddie, I dreamed of sitting in deep green mossy woods, but didn't recognize when I had really achieved the dream because the mossy ground was too wet to sit down on, and I was busy swatting at mosquitoes. Reality is notoriously realistic.

Re: Pat,

Yes, summers in the Pacific NW can be idyllic!  But Colorado Springs seems to be in a pocket of relatively moderate temperatures, for the area. On the average, anyway: we get greater extremes over the course of... I was gonna say 'year,' but 'month' is accurate enough.

Scotland gets even more rain than England, I hear, and can be as dreary over time as Seattle. But in all places, there are compensations. In Colorado, we actually enjoy a rain day!

It will be a shame Ciel, but dreams do not often come true. A pity if they have to sell land would be a good investment for young folk. Once I was offered land at £50 per acre now agricultural land without any chance of building would be 10 thousand per acre.

I believe the rain in England is like the coastal weather (Seattle)

which I didn't mind, although some people get depressed by all the overcast days and misty rain there. It was lovely not to need air conditioning in the summer.

Re: Kabu,

It must be easier to let go when you know it will continue on the path you set.

I worry about this little place when we are forced to sell. I know our friends next door want to buy it and that would be wonderful because they already have the 80 acres that join our four and they are becoming more and more conservation concious with my 'help'
