In America, we have something called Visiting Angels. They help with senior home care...That is a very cute interaction between the two.

Re: RP

Thank you RP. Yes it was kind of strangely compelling. Another program I thought was funny, when a husband and wife were asked questioned to obtain rewards. I alway remember One man was asked where his wife cut her toenails. He paused and then said 'In the kitchen,' She gasped and smacked him around the head. Yes a bit of a rip off I thought, the live in offer.

Pat

I can tell you Pat there is not a terrible lot of sympathy for anyone when if they become burden. I think it must be an inbuilt trait. Some can rise above this, but most usually feel something afterwards. Some poorer countries are richer in sentiment.

Re: Katray

Sadly Kat the more one pays the longer one is kept in comfort. Glad you feel better, it is always tough in the winter.

Re: Annicita

Can you tell which is which A. No that's silly there is a difference.  But probably humanity would not survive without wondering.

Old age is not for sissies... And the issues of being cared for when one

gets old and feeble are not easy for the individual or the family. There seems to be insufficient kindness or concern for those who've spent a life working and caring for others, etc. We think there'll be the front porch and a rocking chair, but often it's an oxygen tank and isolation.

CCT

I remember that show! Sometimes the people looked rather displeased to see ones from their past; like they'd rather not have ever seen them again! Other times they were so happy. I hope the in-home caretaker program you mentioned is not a rip-off. Sounds shady to me. About your poem, I did like it.
