Well i find print in most paper backs rather small, and kiddies would prefer the larger size ,I am pretty sure .

drfinitely 16 for a children's book. if you have trouble today Wiley got tech support from KDP. his book will be up in a couple of days.

If you are doing as ebook I think they automatically convert using 10 or 12. The readers have the ability to raise or lower the font to their liking.
