I prefer to travel by car myself. I was recently reading that within a few decades, big cities might ban car ownership.

In Baltimore, we do not have a graffiti alley. We have a graffiti city.

I suppose man and sometimes woman have been marking the walls of some medium since early days . If you have seen some of the paintings being sold recently you may have wondered if these artists could not splash their art onto something that might benefit their grandchildren.

I have seen some really cool ones in Havana. I think graffiti art is spreading everywhere.

Here they put historical/heritage murals on the walls and although Pembroke is a hick town, there is no graffiti.

Thank you for setting me straight in my post. I have rectified it .

Nautikos

How interesting! Here, the areas where graffiti is most prevalent are generally not ones where one would stroll causually snapping pix, though it would be great if you do take some photos to share. Also, different gangs have individual styles of their writing of graffiti, I think, though I am not up on my gang knowledge. Tagging, it is, and it may come with strict sets of turf rules. The writing, of course, is different from the 'art;' pictures portrayed on the outside walls of buildings. And yes, I do believe there are a few artists who are payed quite well by someone to do that, and I recall a chunck of a building being hacked away because of the value of the painted picture on the outside. Go figure.
