Nautikos, I've read your post twice and I must say...Remarkable! You asked the question, Who are the big losers of 2016, besides the two candidates themselves? In my opinion, taxpayers are the bigger losers in this Election Year, as we try to rationally figure out which direction do we travel in this maze of political disarray and disaster from these two candidates; as they stray far from domestic and global important issues while performing theatrical sword fighting banters for the viewing public. So, I strongly concur with many of the comments within the post... An awesome blog!

The Establishment has taken quite the beating in both parties this election cycle, although I would say that the Democrats are not experiencing as much upheaval as the Republican party is right now. After all, Clinton probably is going to win. Eventually, the Democratic Party will nominate someone like Bernie Sanders.

I must admit that election time is not a good time to be part of a large family who all its members express their views on FB. I should stay away from there. An hour or so ago I unfriended my favorite nephew after a heated back and forth, so he sent me an email to tell me he loves me but will continue to express his opinions in his own way. Another nephew laughed at our haranguing and said that all of us are heathen. My other nephew's wife threatened her 30 year old son that she was not going to go to his wedding in Dec if he doesn't vote for Trump and Trump loses. Then she decided she would go to his wedding but she still thinks he should vote for Trump.....and so on.
