Re: CCT

It was a terrible time for my Dad, but it changed him considerably.  He was a better man in the years following, but there was always a sadness about him.  He once told me that he raised his son the way his father raised him, forgetting that he had run away from home at age 15.

It was a sad time for your father Taps. Of course he had to take the blame. It was nothing I feel to do with family matters. I have heard people say, I was going to do it,and then the feeling passed. I know the shock is terrible and your poem relates so well to the sadness it brings. Of course there was nothing you could do to avert the tragedy.

Oh Taps, I am so sorry, how brave you are to share the source of your pain, I have never been that brave, doubt that I will ever be, I admire you and your kind and loving heart, you must be a wonderful woman, if I never meet you here, I hope to see you when we get home, may God bless you and comfort you all of your days

I cannot imagine losing a sibling. Thank you for providing the backstory behind the poem you have shared with us.

My deepest sympathies. Such pain. How liberating it must be for you to relate the tragedy. Bless you. And, whatever interpretation, the poem strand strong on its own.

I am so sorry. Is why I really hate suicide. People who loved the victim remain victims for the rest of their lives. Blame goes round and round.

Now I understand, the poem is as well written as I have ever read and explains so much.
