Oh even my kitty cat is feeling love for you two sweet people. They will be so pretty and certainly a lovely couple with such strikingly different coloring. Good luck and keep us informed about them, and how all three invited residents of the house are doing together.

Loved reading this post. Always stopped by the jail section of the pet store when we had doggies to look at the kitties, just in case there was one there... Years ago we had a cat, a Silver Tabby Persian, who gave birth to kittens on the bed. She quickly decided to move them under the bed. But she left one, a black one, abandoned the little guy at birth. He was fed by us with an eye dropper, and became a most beloved cat, riding on the shoulders of family members, and just being plain silly. Even people who 'hated' cats, didn't mind Fritz. Thanks for the post, took me back! And maybe forward...

I wonder why your dear wife wanted the cowed cat, perhaps she felt sorry for the life it had endured and was determined to provide a better one as compensation. I think I might have chosen that one, but only as a challenge, not having the obvious compassion of your dear wife.

Poor Bennie. A young male cat jet to invade his home and then a disturbed little girl?
There was a black kitty in our shop , yes behind bars. I just ran from the shop. I think my marriage would be in tatters and Mr. Graysome would be pulling black cat hair...not to be. Enjoy your expanded family.
