Re: Re: Colorado Springs

There's many places I haven't been & CO is one of them. We look forward to visiting there one day. I do like being out in nature. Though, was never one for hiking or camping, even before I went through bone cancer. One reason I like taking drives a long the backroads. It still gets me out there, but, is less strenuous.

Re: Colorado Springs

It has a lot of fun things to do, but what I loved most was getting out in the mountains and spending time in mountain/forest nature.  It was like the jumping off place for so many beautiful places.

Eating Out

For a long time, that was my & my husband's only indulgence. It's still our main one. Breakfast is our favorite meal out, so, we go to a lot of family style restaurants. What about you?

Colorado Springs

I'm glad you liked this. What is it about Colorado Springs which appeals to you? I like your attitude. 80 is far from old. Especially when one still wants to be involved, is curious, has a sense of adventure.

Dream Vacations

What are some of those? I'm going to be 49 & my husband is 64. Far from old & I'm sure you are as well. One is never too old, when there is still so much to do.

I guess I have wandered around to enough places of this World. My husband isn't very well so a night or two away in the Summer seems to be enough for him to manage. We eat out a lot, just simple reasonable priced spots. Not cooking and cleaning up after is a holiday break for us.

usually I go to Australia once a year to see my family nut this year ...well we will see,

I loved this post. I know what you mean about wanting to take vacations and are lacking in various areas that prevent it. My husband and I want to go to Colorado Springs. Maybe someday, since I am only 80 now.

I've had enough dream vacations to last me a lifetime.  Now I am happy to be at home.  That's what happens when once gets old.  The last two were great but I just couldn't wait to get back home.
