I keep my rooms stocked with Puffs Plus that smells like Vicks Vapor Rub when you blow your nose.  It so reminds me of home when I was a child.

Wow that is very interesting in a quaint way. I suppose nurses run into many, many things that would make good tales but you don't tell.

JRecently, I used it in the traditional way. When you get up in the morning, you shower love. BC-A, Bill’s R👀st

Worst alternative use for Vicks VapoRub I've ever run into--
When I was working as a nurse, a man that I had a hard time liking, had to come to the hospital every day for two weeks (as only child of old mother), but you could tell that he didn't really want to be there.  Every evening when he came in, he would come to the nurses station first and ask if we had some Vicks.  We always told him no, but he asked everytime anyway.  He said he wanted to put some in his nose before going to his mother's room because "She Stinks".  She didn't, but to him he imagined that she did.  We kept her very clean.

Interesting stuff, but I'm glad you're not actually cooking with it...

I did not know that there are so many different uses for it.

Good old Vix...Mother used to rub it on my chest when I was sick as a child. I liked her rubbing it on. I liked how it cleared my nose but then it would make me feel chilled for a while and I didn't like that.

Lots of other sensible uses here too I like the keeping bugs away.
