Community Meeting
Blogit Family,
Please do something with me; would you help me pass this post around throughout the Blogit site and other sites to see if we can get a reaction to having a Community Meeting and If others would be interested, I'll ask around at the Cathedral churches, one particular church and pastor in mind about his thoughts or other pastors on having a Community Meeting at his or another's church... I know a meeting is not an explosive solution especially considering all the horrible things going on in many of our communities throughout the US, but we've got to do something more to save our Communities for Us today and for the Communities still to come after Us tomorrow!
Years of observation... our society readily take hold and nurture our exceptionally gifted children with obvious traits for greatness, but minimal resources and this is wonderful for those children, but the percentages are much higher of children sometimes ignored and that weren't destined for greatness... Where are these children: there in the Communities wreaking havoc onto the lives of others through: shooting, robbing and maiming ruining lives in the Communities...
Can a Community Meeting be a catalyse towards advocating change or at least a conversation?
I'm not exactly computer savvy knowing how to spread information as many of you are on these social media sites.

A large community meeting sounds like a wonderful idea to discuss the issues plaguing the African American community.

Things have gotten so bad in our city with drive-by shootings and such that I'm not sure community meetings would even help. But, they surely wouldn't hurt. Good post.

This is an excellent post. I think some of the black athelets who make so much money should do more and give more. There should be a lot more direction than just dumping a benefit that may not fit the need. I hope things will get better for all people and we will get along with one another.
