Well, I won't be out there a-callin' for a lynchin' 'cause I can still learn from what Rega writes, and I like learning, and besides, I respect your right to state your opinion, and you do so in a light way that is interesting to read. But I also do respect both Francises. The Pope is a scientist by education, I believe; his training was not in Pope School! LOL! He will probably retire and yes, I have heard the same things as some of your friends say. But because I don't or didn't know either of the Francises personally, I can't truly understand their motivations or intellectual capacities regarding the subject of their perspectives on other religions, such as Muslim. One can only surmise... Ah, now you see why I usually am quiet. :) Did you know that Saint Francis had come from a pretty wealthy family?

Surely the pope knows the history of St. Francis of Asisi and understands the legacy of the name he chose, or has he forgotten what he must have learned at one time.
