Re: Nautikos

Oh, thank you very much, Naut! I probably had learned that in one of my Biology courses along the line but, having never considered the evolution of cardiac systems since then, did not readily recall.. LOL! But now that you mention it, I will have to research that...

RP

Quite beautiful and evocative! Did you know the first hearts probably developed in insects?

Re: Re: Dear, Dear Aba

Firstly, thanks for clarifying and secondly, you cannot make anything painful for your readers to read. I feel perhaps, there is no need to correct or drop. It's sweet, of course!

Re: Dear, Dear Aba

Why, indeed? You have made a very salient point. Now I must consider. 'Monetarily worthless' refers to someone else, say a stranger, valuing one's own heart's feelings. What's it to them, in other words. Nothing. 'Beyond price' means that, for some, like me, there is no dollar value one can place in matters of the heart. It can't be bought. Having said all that, in the context of this write, there is a bit of awkwardness in the phrasing, and I will consider dropping the part about being monetarily worthless.

So I hope that makes it a bit less painful to read! LOL! Ahh, but you mean the pain conveyed through reading, perhaps. Well, Gypsy Blood runs deep in its roots, perhaps. I appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Dearest Presta

Why do we have that heart monetarily worthless but beyond price, imho, to enjoy both pain and pleasure both which includes your fine poetries too. Because, aren't you, after all, The Poetry Gypsy?

Re: WileyJohn

This is such a high compliment, Wiley, and delightful to read. I wish your ill heart much, much health. Thank you very much and bless you, and Kabu, too!

Re:

Well, CCT, I'm glad there is one nice thing! LOL! Sorry, I couldn't resist that! Thank you very much, is what I meant to say. Chumpet must have snuck over here... No, I usually don't find them hard to write; to write well, that's another thing. It's hard for me to find the time to write anything. And thank you, yes, usually there is something of me in them, pretty hard to write as someone else, at least for it is for me with many of these. Though there's a thought now... Something bizarre? Naw, not me too much. My brain can hardly handle simple things. Probably would need something stronger than a glass of Sherry for that, and even then, it's doubtful I could pull it off.

RPresta

Your poetry makes my ill heart well again with such joyful exquisite talent.

There is one thing nice about your poems RP. They do generate an interest and enhance

moral virtues. I don't know if you find it hard to write them, I do not like to say that poems reveal the character of the writer, but in your case I like to think so. Although you can always write something bizarre  and blame it on a glass of Sherry.

Oh darlin! What a wonderful write yet again. I just love this. How well you have written about the heart, the feelings that we can experience from very painful to really ecstatic times.Kudos to our lovely poet.

With a heart, there are times when it feels so wonderful to have one and other times when it does not feel so wonderful to have one.
