Comments on Blogit by the numbers or to be or not to be - or stay or leave

Hi Kat ,I think we do need more folk on blogit I have only been her roughly 5 years but have noticed that many who come probably believe it is a short road to to extra dollars.

and find it is totally different. I do tell each newcomer to respond to others if they wish to receive more comments, but it is usually a hopeless task. I must admit I never visit some sites on here as I feel I could add nothing to American Politics that would appear helpful. The same with religion, although I will pray for those who feel the need of help.

I will add that replying to comments can take up quite a lot of time, but it does make it seem that one values the words and the reaction. Of course everyone likes praise and

if one does not like what is written, it should not be taken as an insult, in families one

is often called or rebuked and one has to put up with it or as many do just obliterate

all connection. Here we have  the same choice . I have noticed you do not react in

anger (very often) but try to explain your point of view. Honestly I don't think anyone hates you and if they realized the anguish you have endured I would think love more appropriate.

I had forgotten about those lists.  I guess they are still there, HUH?

Katray2

To me, reading your beautiful work is always a special treat. I would hope you continue to favor Blogit with your gentle spirit. It seems that when art becomes a numbers game, then all is lost. One writes because the words are there. Perhaps if you rethink this, you will see, your presence here is very much wanted and needed, imho. Please stay, dear lady!

Re:

Great comment, TAPS, thank you. It used to be a big thing here years ago, blogging about blogging. I'm sure you remember the posts showing a blogger's list of people they read which also included the number of pages. Well, I'm not trying to be a blast from the past; just a stream of thoughts. You are a wonderful writer, keep exercising!..:)

Re: Oops

Actually those 4 are not on the list, FSI. They are folks who rarely if ever comment on anyone. Amanda is not on the list either as she has left me cards too. Thank you for your thoughtful comment and I've left comments on the wrong posts before too, lol.

Re:

Aw, I wuff you too, Dear Kabu! Your story sounds so very familiar, lol! Thank you, my friend; I feel all is well with the world when I come here and see you and WileyFriend so not going anywhere.   This was something rattling around in my mind for a long time; my Blogit stats and how being outspoken about issues can cause people to judge you solely on your political or religious views.

Interesting post.  I've never thought about counting writers and commentors, at least not that I remember (I've been here since ought four).  Actually, I write and post on Blogit for myself.  I love to write, and to write the best I can, whether anyone reads/comments/likes me or not.  Bloggers who do read me and comment are a wonderful and fun blessing that make me feel like I did something worthwhile.  If no one reads I still feel like I have exercised my brain and shooed away dementia for a little while longer.

Oops

Somehow, I mixed up your blog entry with Strat's. My apologies.

Now onto your post. I enjoyed reading your analysis a lot. For me, the people who do not comment on my blogs are people who are not commenting on others'. I imagine on your list of people who do not comment and the reason is unknown are:

1. BigV

2. Adventurer02

3. 9STAR

4. STRAT (if you are counting STRAT, who just returned with a post.

Maybe Amanda is on that list. She leaves Calling Cards.

I wuff you velly velly muchly.

politics and religion...Ugh. They can really ruin things.

I always remember still married to my kids dad but close to the rocks, and we were attending one of those big revival things that every now and again the Protestant Churches love to come together and spend a fortune on hosting.

The leader of the revival from America was talking to me and my hu.....the kid's father. This leader was busy telling me how lucky I was to be a married woman. That I never had to worry about anything. My husband was my protectore, mentor and in charge of my life. All I needed to do was to accept all of his decisions and ....about then My ex put a hand on my neck and moved me along. He didn't understand much about me but he could recognize a whole pile of trouble when it was coming his way.

I agree with Teddy take a deep breath and stay. I am happy if I know you are alright.
